Elisabeth Barton has joined Turpin Smale bringing her specialist knowledge of the conference, events and meetings market. Her specialist skills directly complement the Turpin Smale catering consultancy team who can now offer expert knowledge and advice to their clients on driving new income streams. Particularly focusing on the conference, events, meeting and hotel markets and driving third party income either from optimising yield in existing estates or recognising new income opportunities through feasibility studies and operational reviews.
Universities, unusual venues, conference centres, hotels and stadium are just some of the sectors Elisabeth has delivered, often working closely with existing teams or on occasions remotely to assess and evaluate and deliver solutions.
Elisabeth is uniquely placed in experience and breadth of previous commissions and she brings over 30 years of sector experience and current knowledge of the conference & events market through Key Locations, a conference venue finding agency which she has owned and managed for 16 years. Distinctly positioned to undertake competitor benchmarking this gives the team valuable insights whist remaining at the sharp end of the competitor landscape.
Applying dynamic fresh thinking to current processes and practises with the ultimate aim to recognise new business opportunities, identify efficiencies, whilst understanding there are non-financial deliverables too.
Whether feasibility plans for new ventures or a review of existing conference event processes and practises, sales and marketing evaluations, business mix appraisals, skills assessments, competitor benchmarking, independent client research or financial feasibilities these are just some of the services offered, working seamlessly with the Turpin Smale Directors.
Charles Manners (Director) commented '' Elisabeth's skills and experience will provide real depth to our catering consulting activities, as many clients are increasingly looking at how effective their event and conferencing sales are and what are the opportunities''.
